Step-by-Step Instructions
- Assess the lens: Identify scratches, yellowing, oxidation, or haze.

- Sand progressively: Starting with 180# grit, work through each sandpaper grade up to 1200#. Sand with water, using cross-strokes, and rinse thoroughly between each grade change.
- Dry the surface: Wipe clean with a towel and allow to dry completely before coating.
- Heat & steam: Pour coating liquid into the electric cup, power on, and wait for visible steam (approximately 5 minutes). Hold the cup over the lens to apply an even coat.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How many headlight restoration sessions does one bottle of coating liquid provide?
A: Each 100 ml bottle of headlight coating liquid is designed for approximately 3–4 full restoration sessions. Any unused liquid can be stored and recovered for future use, making this kit excellent long-term value.
Q: Do I need to sand in a specific order?
A: Yes. Always begin with the coarsest sandpaper (180# grit) and work your way progressively through each finer grade (240#, 360#, 600#, 800#, 1200#). Rinse the headlight with water each time you switch grades. This step-by-step approach ensures a smooth surface that accepts the coating evenly.
Q: Can this kit be used on brand-new headlights?
A: Absolutely. In addition to restoring older, damaged lenses, the coating liquid is suitable for new headlights as a protective treatment to help maintain clarity and guard against future yellowing and oxidation.
Q: How long does the electric heating cup take to produce steam?
A: Under normal conditions the cup reaches operating temperature and begins producing steam in approximately 5 minutes. Always wait until you see a consistent steam output before applying it to the headlight lens for the best results.
